Drop-in visits vs. dog daycare

Drop-in visits are the right choice when your pet is comfortable at home but just needs someone to check in. They're ideal for cats (who almost always do better in their own territory), dogs with health conditions that require mid-day care, pets on strict feeding schedules, and situations where you want minimal disruption to your animal's normal routine.

Daycare pulls your dog out of their environment, introduces them to unfamiliar dogs, and can be overstimulating β€” especially for older dogs, anxious breeds, or pets with health issues. Drop-ins keep everything calm and familiar.

We serve all of Monmouth County β€” including Neptune, Asbury Park, Long Branch, Belmar, and Tinton Falls β€” and Ocean County, including Toms River, Brick, and Point Pleasant. Contact us to confirm your area.

Frequently asked questions

How often can I schedule drop-in visits?

As often as you need β€” once a day, twice a day, or multiple times throughout the day. Many clients use drop-ins for pets who need midday meals or medication without requiring a full dog walk.

Do drop-in visits work for multi-pet homes?

Absolutely. We visit homes with multiple dogs, cats, or a mix of both. The 30-minute window covers all pets in the household β€” feeding, potty break, water refresh, meds, and playtime for everyone.

How do you handle my house key?

We store your key in a secured, coded lockbox system β€” never labeled with your address. Many clients also use a lockbox or smart lock for keyless entry. We'll walk through your preferred access method at the meet-and-greet.

What's included in a drop-in visit?

Every visit includes: potty break or litter box scoop, fresh food and water, medication administration if needed, playtime or cuddles, and a photo update sent to you. We also bring in any packages left at the door.

Is a drop-in visit right for my cat?

Yes β€” cats do best at home. Drop-in visits let your cat stay in their familiar environment with their normal routine intact. No carrier stress, no strange smells from a boarding facility, and no disrupted territory.
